Front-end web development is like making pie. Every pie has the same basic ingredients: pie filling and pie crust. No one ever says "I want to make a pastry-crust pie." They say "I want to make a pecan pie." The pie filling is your design, and it dictates what kind of crust you wrap it up in. In development, the design should dictate the technology, not the other way around. It's fine to want toggles and moving parts, but if the design doesn't allow for it, it's a waste. You know what else is a waste? Graham cracker crusts for pecan pies. Sounds delish, but you end up with a nasty, soggy mess.
